Quick facts
Getting ashore
When to visit Nagasaki
Best in spring and autumn; June is the rainy season and August-October carries a typhoon risk. Winters are cool but manageable.
Getting back to the ship on time
The city is compact and the trams are easy, so the main risk is simply losing track of time at the Atomic Bomb Museum — allow a good two hours there and keep an eye on the clock.
All-aboard is ship's time — check it in the daily programme, and set your watch to it.
