Getting ashore

Dock. Ships dock in the commercial port right beside downtown, with the zócalo, malecón and sailfish monument a 10-15 minute walk away; the resort beaches on the Santiago peninsula are 20-25 minutes by taxi.

When to visit Manzanillo

Best December-April for dry weather in the 80s°F; June-October is hot and humid and falls in the Pacific hurricane season, with September the wettest month.

Getting back to the ship on time

Playa Miramar, Las Hadas and Barra de Navidad all sit 20-40 minutes from the pier along a single coastal road that backs up in the afternoon, so arrange a return taxi and leave a wide margin.

Manzanillo moves more container traffic than any other port in Mexico.
