Quick facts
Getting ashore
When to visit Barcelona
Best May-June or September-October for warm, less scorching weather (mid-20s C); July-August is hot and crowded, averaging around 30C.
Getting back to the ship on time
Traffic and one-way port road congestion can slow the return, so build in at least 45-60 minutes buffer before all-aboard if you took a taxi or metro back independently.
All-aboard is ship's time — check it in the daily programme, and set your watch to it.
