Quick facts
Getting ashore
When to visit Corfu
Best in May-June or September-October; July-August is hot (around 32°C), while winters are mild but wetter than other Greek islands.
Getting back to the ship on time
Independent taxi or bus trips to Paleokastritsa or the Achilleion Palace can run long on narrow mountain roads, so leave a solid buffer for the return since the ship departs on schedule regardless.
All-aboard is ship's time — check it in the daily programme, and set your watch to it.
