Quick facts
Getting ashore
When to visit Villefranche-sur-Mer
Best in May-June or September; July-August is hot (upper 20s to 30°C) and the Riviera gets very crowded, while winters are mild.
Getting back to the ship on time
Confirm the last tender time and give yourself at least 45 extra minutes at day's end, since trains from Nice or Monaco can run late and return tender queues build up badly in the late afternoon.
All-aboard is ship's time — check it in the daily programme, and set your watch to it.
